Welcome Reception at the Color Kitchen Zuilen (Tuesday, 20 March 2018)


The welcome reception provides a great opportunity to discuss with the attendees, share ideas, and establish connections. It will take place on Tuesday, March 20 at the Color Kitchen Zuilen. The Color Kitchen Zuilen also hosts the conference, so there is no need to move around, just stay at the venue after the sessions! We will enjoy a memorable evening with drinks and snacks surrounded with the amazing REFSQ community.


Conference Dinner: Stadskasteel Oudaen (Wednesday, 21 March 2018)


Stadskasteel Oudaen is where the old meets new right at the center of Utrecht. Located by the beautiful Oudegracht (old canal), this historic tower house is a part of Utrecht since the 13th centruy.


Oudaen is a true purveyor of fine food and drink with many facets and faces. Besides serving as a cafe and a restaurant, Oudaen also brews its own beer! We invite you to join us for the gala dinner of REFSQ 2018 and the guided tour of the brewery and beer tasting afterwards at this beautiful historic building. We will meet you at Oudaen on Wednesday, March 21 at 19:30. If you have a single day registration, make sure to purchase your entry ticket as it is not covered by your registration. Then, bring your badge and join the fun!

How to reach Oudaen?


Take bus number 3, 5, or 27 from the bus stop Prins Bernhardplein. Get off at the bus stop

  • Vredenburgviaduct if you take bus number 3, then walk 6 minutes to Oudaen:
    • Head southeast on Daalsesingel toward Vredenburgviaduct
    • Turn left onto Vredenburgviaduct
    • Take the pedestrian overpass
    • Turn right onto Vredenburg
    • Turn left onto Zakkendragerssteeg
    • Turn left onto Oudegracht
  • Sint Jacobstraat if you take number 5, then walk 3 minutes to Oudaen:
    • Head south on St Jacobsstraat toward Varkenmarkt
    • Turn left onto Lange Viestraat
    • Turn right onto Oudegracht
  • Neude if you take bus number 27, then walk 1 minute to Oudaen:
    • Head west on Potterstraat toward Oudegracht
    • Continue onto Viebrug
    • Turn left onto Oudegracht
Alternatively, take bus number 4 from the bus stop Prinses Irenelaan and get off at Sint Jacobstraat. Then walk 3 minutes to Oudaen:
  • Head south on St Jacobsstraat toward Varkenmarkt
  • Turn left onto Lange Viestraat
  • Turn right onto Oudegracht
After you enter Oudegracht, Stadskasteel Oudaen is on your right.
