In this page, you can find some hotels with discounted rates for the participants of REFSQ 2018, and some general information about accommodation in Utrecht.

The week of REFSQ 2018 coincides with some large events that are taking place at the Jaarbeurs convention center in Utrecht. As such, hotel availability is limited in the city centre and prices are higher than the average.

The hotels listed below are circa 45 minutes away via public transportation from the conference venue. However, we can offer reduced registration rates compared to the hotels in the city centre. If you prefer a hotel that is closer to the venue, you can find some options via the regular websites such as booking.com, trivago, airbnb, and so on.

This 4-star hotel offers 97 rooms in the town of Zeist, a neighborhood located East to Utrecht. It takes circa 45 minutes to travel from Hotel Figi to the Colour Kitchen in Zuilen. 

There are 35 rooms available at a special price (starting 74 Euro per night) for the period March 18-23, 2018. The special rate is valid until February 26, 2018. To do the booking, use the discount code  2924734 on the reservation website. The discounted rate applies to a variety of room types in the hotel.

From the hotel, reach the closest bus stop Zeist, Het Rond, which is 50 meters away from the hotel on the street called "1e Dorpstraat". You can take many of the busses going toward the centre, including 50/51/71/74/251/271. Get off at the Neude bus stop in Utrecht. From there, there are a few options to reach the Colour Kitchen. Either take number 27 from Neude itself (stay on the same platform), or walk to the Sint Jacobstraat bus stop, from which you can take bus number 3 or 4 toward Zuilen. The walking path from Neude to Sint Jacobstraat is shown in the map below. 

Follow the same directions shown to reach the venue, but in reverse order.

This hotel in Breukelen has 233 rooms with all the facilities you could need. It is located in Breukelen nearby the train station (2 minutes). By train, you can reach the centre of Utrecht in 14 minutes. The conference venue can be reached in 35-40 minutes.

We blocked 20 comfort rooms at a special price (114 Euro per night) for the period March 18-24, 2018. The special rate is valid until March 10, 2018. To do the booking, fill in this form and send it to the e-mail address included in the form itself.

From the hotel, reach the train/bus station Breukelen. From there, take bus 120 toward Utrecht CS Jaarbeurszeide and get off at the Weth. D.M. Plompstraat stop. From there, you will need to walk circa 650 meters following the route below:

Follow the same directions shown to reach the venue, but in reverse order.

This hotel in Maarssen (North-Western part of Utrecht) belongs to the well-known chain of Carlton hotels. It take circa 40-45 minutes to travel from the hotel to the conference venue by public transportation. The trip is much shorter via taxi. The hotel is also willing to offer a shuttle bus in case a good number of participants chooses this hotel.

Option 1 (bus). From the hotel, walk to the Zonnebaan bus stop in Maarssenbroek, which is less than 300m away from the hotel. Take bus number 38 toward Maarssen NS and get off at Maarssen NS (the train staion of Maarssen). From there, take bus number 5 toward Oog in AI via Zuilen. Get off at the Prins Bernhardplein bus stop and you are in front of the venue.

Option 2 (walking + bus). If you feel like walking 25 minutes after breakfast, you can walk to the bus stop Antilopespoor (see the following map) and take bus number 5 toward Oog in Al via Zuilen. Get off at the Prins Bernhardplein bus stop and you are in front of the venue.

Option 1 (bus). Take bus 5 or 32 from Prins Bernhardplein (side of the conference place) toward Maarssen. Get off at Station Maarssen. From there, take bus number 37 toward Utrecht CS via Leidsche Rijn and get off at Zonnebaan. In four minutes, you will reach the hotel on foot.

Option 2 (walking + bus). Take bus 5 from Prins Bernhardplein (side of the conference place) toward Maarssen. Get off in Sportpark Oostwaard. Walk circa 23 minutes toward the hotel, see map below.

The van der Valk hotel chain is probably the most well-known chain in the Netherlands. The hotel in de Bilt has 102 rooms and is situated right outside Utrecht. It takes circa 40 minutes to travel from the hotel to the conference venue.

 

We blocked 15 rooms at a special price for the period March 19-22, 2018. Note that this is not the entire conference period. The special rate is valid until February 26, 2018:

• 5 comfort rooms at the price of 123 Euro per night, breakfast included
• 10 comfort deluxe rooms at the price of 131.50 Euro per night, breakfast included

From the hotel, walk the "De Holle Bilt" street toward West (toward the centre of the village); in 14 minutes, you will reach the bus stop called De Bilt, Hesselweg. From there, take bus 77 toward Nieuwegein-Z. Get off at the Neude bus stop. From there, there are a few options to reach the Colour Kitchen. Either take number 27 from Neude itself (stay on the same platform), or walk to the Sint Jacobstraat bus stop, from which you can take bus number 3 or 4 toward Zuilen. Cross the main street in from of the Colour Kitchen, you are at the Prins Bernhardplein bus stop. Two options now:

• take bus 27 and get off in Janskerhof. From there, stay on the same platform, and take bus number 50/51/52/74.
• take number 3 or 5 and get off in Sint Jacobstraat. Walk to Neude (see map above), and take bus number 50/51/52/74.

Get off at Tunneltje de Bilt, walk through the tunnel, then at the end of the street turn to the right. Cross right at the traffic lights and you walk about 600 metres. This is De Holle Bilt. The hotel is on the right hand side.
